A resident's car was vandalized while parked on level S2 of block B.
The window of the car was destroyed overnight.
It is clear that the surveillance is insufficient, allowing such acts to go unpunished. One wonders if the access to the garage is well-secured or if some doors are not properly locked, which the Property Manager had mentioned he would check during the last meeting.
During our meeting Dec 21 2023 with the managers, the Building Manager told us that one of the priorities of the MINTO administration was to ensure the safety of the tenants, while acknowledging that it was impossible to avoid all incidents.
Tenants are concerned for their safety, knowing that potentially violent individuals seem to be able to enter the garage without being seen.
- Other vehicles could be damaged.
- It's possible that a tenant unexpectedly encountering a wrongdoer could become a victim of physical violence.
- Garage access protected by locked doors.
- Occasional presence of the security officer in the garage.
- When will the locks on the door on S1 and S2 be fixed?
- When will the new garage door parts be installed? (Dec 21 2023: the administration hopes Jan 2024)
- Have a periodic patrol through the garage to make sure there isn't loitering or worse
- Cameras in the garage
He then informed us that parts had been ordered to repair the exterior doors of the garage. We asked him to tell us a delivery date, but he could not confirm it. He only told us that the parts were on order and that we could expect a resolution of the problem during the month of January 2024.
In addition, we reported to them that several interior doors of the garage S1 and S2 remained unlocked permanently. He expressed his astonishment and repeated that this should be resolved soon.
